Horology Forum travels from Dubai to Hong Kong

The globally-renowned watchmaking salon headed East for its 10th edition.

An integral part of Dubai Watch Week, Horology Forum brings together watchmaking experts and pioneers from other fields and industries to hold thought-provoking and inspiring conversations. For its 10th edition, the forum made its debut in Hong Kong, a bustling city with a long history of luxury watch culture and appreciation.

With relations between Dubai and Hong Kong on the up and up lately, Horology Forum’s move to ‘the Perfumed Harbour’ was the latest in a line of strengthening links between the vibrant cities. A string of panel discussions, masterclasses, displays of timepieces and networking opportunities all took place in the heart of Hong Kong’s Central district, long recognised as the heart of Asia’s luxury watch industry. With discussions surrounding trends, collecting and the future of horology, it was an enlightening event in many more ways than one. With the Hong Kong the latest destination in Horology Forum’s travelling edition concept, it followed the London event in 2018, and 2020’s New York City-based show.

“We are delighted to host the 10th editon of the Horology Forum for the first time in Hong Kong, marking a significant step in expanding our international presence into the hub of the luxury watch industry within Asia,” said Hind Seddiqi, director general of Dubai Watch Week. “Hosting this insightful event with a new discerning audience allows us to connect with like-minded individuals among the local community and collectively explore the worlds of luxury and horology. Doing so enables us to continue evolving the Horology Forum and Dubai Watch Week platform while preserving its unique DNA. We look forward to extending its legacy by uniting more watch enthusiasts worldwide and sharing this passion as a community.”
