Some collaborations are born in boardrooms; this one was born at Dubai Watch Week. Studio Underd0g, the British independent that has made a habit of putting wit back into watchmaking, first crossed paths with Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons at the retailer’s Design Lab during the 2025 edition — and the result of that meeting has now surfaced, quite literally, from UAE waters.
The 03SERIES Chan3ad, a 100-piece limited edition created exclusively with the Dubai house, takes its name and its palette from the chanad kingfish, the silver-blue predator prized in Emirati kitchens and waters alike. The twin-layer dial pairs a blue-grey upper plate with a pale pink layer beneath, flashes of lemon yellow on the chronograph hand nodding to the wedge of citrus that traditionally accompanies the fish — while Eastern Arabic numerals root the piece firmly in the region.
At 38.5mm in stainless steel, it is powered by the manually wound Sellita SW510-M monopusher chronograph, dressed with a custom Côtes de Genève finish and an anthracite ruthenium bridge, good for 63 hours of reserve. Even the strap stays on theme: black salmon leather, sustainably sourced from Iceland, with a milanese mesh bracelet as the alternative.

Individually numbered and priced at AED 9,600, the Chan3ad is that rare thing — a collaboration watch with a genuine sense of place. Expect the hundred pieces to swim off quickly.
