Habring² × SJX Chrono Felix Perpetual Star with gold stars on black dial

The Final Felix

Every trilogy needs an ending, and this one ends under a sky full of stars. The Chrono Felix Perpetual “Star”, unveiled this week, is the third and final collaboration between Singapore’s SJX and Habring², the Austrian workshop of Maria and Richard Habring that has quietly built some of the most intelligent chronographs of the independent era.

The final chapter of the SJX × Habring² trilogy: a monopusher chronograph, now crowned with a perpetual calendar.

The recipe takes the monopusher chronograph that anchored the earlier chapters and crowns it with a perpetual calendar, added by way of a Dubois Depraz module on the hand-wound calibre A11CP. The result reads as a dress watch first and a complication second: 38.5mm of polished steel, a mere 13mm high, with the calendar’s registers arranged with unusual restraint.

Solid gold stars, scattered in the manner of the fabled Rolex reference 6088 “Galaxy”.

The flourish is on the dial, where solid gold stars are scattered in the manner of the fabled Rolex reference 6088 “Galaxy” — a wink from one era of celestial dials to another, and the detail that gives the piece its name.

The numbers are suitably intimate. Thirty pieces will be made, individually numbered, sold exclusively through SJX at US$28,500 before taxes, with a forty per cent deposit at order and deliveries promised for January and February of 2027. For collectors who have followed the series since the first Chrono Felix, this is the closing chapter of one of independent watchmaking’s more personal projects — a magazine editor and a pair of Austrian watchmakers, thirty watches at a time, finishing with the stars.
