September in Qatar: a month you cannot miss

Qatar Calendar unveils a packed September — John Legend, world-class squash, falconry at Katara and the Doha Jewellery & Watches Exhibition to close the month.

From John Legend to falconry, world-class squash to a jury box you sit in yourself, Qatar Calendar has unveiled a packed September programme spanning entertainment, sport, culture and business across Doha and beyond.

Families have plenty to choose from: the ColorVerse Experience runs at Katara South Parking until 15 September, Virtuocity Battleground 2026 takes over Doha Festival City all month, and Fuwairit Kite Beach hosts the family-friendly Fuwairit Break from 9 September. For something out of the ordinary, The Jury Experience at U Venue (from 18 September) invites audiences to weigh the evidence and deliver their own verdict.

Sport takes centre stage mid-month. The Beat the Heat fitness series continues until 11 September, Qatar Foundation hosts the FISU World University Weightlifting Championship (8–12 September), and the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex welcomes the Qterminals Qatar Classic Squash (12–18 September) followed by the first Qatar Asian Junior Tennis Tournament 14 & Under.

S’hail — Katara International Hunting and Falconry Exhibition, 8–12 September

Culture runs deep in September: Uzbekistan: Heritage in Motion opens at the Museum of Islamic Art on 3 September (until 28 November), Katara hosts the tenth S’hail International Hunting and Falconry Exhibition (8–12 September), and the Qatar Philharmonic performs Tchaikovsky’s First Piano Concerto on 14 September, with Sounds of Mexico following on 18 September for the Qatar–Mexico Year of Culture. Live audiences are spoilt: John Legend plays the Qatar National Convention Centre on 10 September, with comedy from Saleh El Nawawy, Taha Desouky and John Achkar through the month, and Pink Floyd Legacy Live on 25 September.
