Oris brings The Great Gonzo to Geneva

Four new Oris releases land at Geneva Watch Days 2026 — led by the ProPilot X Gonzo Edition, whose mainspring reveals the Great Gonzo’s face as you wind it.

Oris arrives at Geneva Watch Days 2026 with four new releases — led by a watch with a face hidden in its mainspring.

The ProPilot X Gonzo Edition is the independent Swiss watchmaker’s third collaboration with Disney’s The Muppets, following editions dedicated to Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy. This time the spotlight falls on the Great Gonzo, and the 44 mm titanium ProPilot X wears his personality boldly: a skeletonised dial in a gradient of blue, red and yellow inspired by Gonzo’s fur and wardrobe, a dial ring that shifts colour with the light, and a chilli-shaped power reserve hand referencing one of his iconic shirts, counting down ten “GREAT” days of autonomy from the hand-wound Calibre 115.

The showstopper, though, is a first in Swiss watchmaking: the mainspring inside the open barrel is laser-etched with Gonzo’s face. Wind the watch and the spring tightens, the fragments gradually assembling into Gonzo’s grin; as it runs down, the face disperses piece by piece — the suspense of a Great Gonzo performance, captured in mechanics. It is priced at CHF 8,500 and delivered in a special wooden box.

Three further novelties complete the line-up. The Oris Social Club Edition II unites all 62 chapters of the brand’s global community in a single watch for the first time: a 43.5 mm Aquis Date Relief with a frosted silver dial inspired by a fingerprint, an olive green NATO strap — a first for the Aquis in over a decade — and the Oris Bear appearing in the date window on the first of every month (CHF 2,100).

The ProPilot Bronze brings a 41 mm bronze case and dark green suede strap to the aviation collection, its warm tones set to deepen as the metal develops its own patina (CHF 2,250). And the Big Crown Pointer Date 29.00 mm offers a delicate new take on an icon in the collection since 1938, in black or rose gold-toned dials on leather or steel (from CHF 1,950).

All four arrive in September. For a brand guided by the philosophy of “Change for the Better”, it is a reminder that serious watchmaking should always leave room for fun.
