Sparkle, smiles and Italian glamour galore were the hallmarks of Bvlgari’s intimate gathering to celebrate the launch of a very special new range — the Calla Collection, designed by the Maison’s creative director of Leather Goods and Accessories, Mary Katrantzou. The new line of accessories is inspired by the tile mosaics at Rome’s ancient Terme di Caracalla, taking the lotus-shaped motif and translating it to a wide range of achingly glam pieces. Overlooking the 46-boat harbour of Bvlgari’s first ever yacht club, the Mediterranean atmosphere of the launch was perfectly fitting, and saw gathered guests enjoy an aperitivo while taking the opportunity to mingle with the minds behind this shining collection. The sultry September evening was the ideal moment for Bvlgari to extend its reach further into the ultra-luxury accessories world — and as far as GMT GCC is concerned, the Maison really delivered. The Calla Collection is firmly on the wishlist.
