Nomos orion gold neomatik new black hero

The very definition of a dress watch

NOMOS Glashütte pairs solid 18 kt gold with a deep black dial in the new Orion gold neomatik new black — 36.4 mm, 8.5 mm slim, powered by the in-house DUW 3001.

Few categories in watchmaking are as imprecisely defined as the dress watch. There is no technical standard to meet, no certification to earn — only a certain restraint: slender cases, considered dials, refinement that complements formal attire. With the new Orion gold neomatik new black, NOMOS Glashütte offers what it calls the very definition — and it is hard to argue.

Unmatched in gold, unmistakable in black: the latest Orion pairs a case in solid 18 kt gold with a dial of deep black, against which fine golden hour indexes and slender golden hands stand out in elegant contrast. The case measures just 36.4 mm across and 8.5 mm high, with tapered lugs that follow the curve of the wrist for an exceptionally refined silhouette.

Inside works the DUW 3001, an automatic calibre developed and produced in-house by NOMOS in Glashütte, Germany. At only 3.2 mm in height, it is what makes the watch’s remarkably slender proportions possible. Sophistication within, elegantly presented, and unmistakably a dress watch — as the brand puts it, no further definition required.

The new black joins the existing Orion gold neomatik and doré versions, completing a trio of dress watches for life’s most momentous occasions.
